Apply for a public access defibrillator

You can play a vital role in helping save lives in your local community by applying online for funding to have a Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) and Call Push Rescue training kit community package in your area.

After calling 999 and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using a defibrillator is the best way to increase the chances of someone surviving a cardiac arrest.

Budget delivers good news for village halls

ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) is delighted with announcement in the Budget yesterday that the government will provide up to £8 million to help with the cost of repairs and alterations to village halls, Miners’ Welfare facilities and Armed Forces organisations’ facilities.

The Village Hall or Community Building award winner announced

On Tuesday 25th September the Community Action Suffolk awards were held and the Village Hall or Community Building award winner was announced. This award is to recognise the positive contribution made to a community by its Village Hall or Community Building.

The winner was Gainsborough Community Library.
